For over 50 years, the members of the Central Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association have been providing you with the finest landscape design and installation workmanship with the finest plant materials and horticultural supplies. Our Bylaws and Code of Ethics promote honest and dependable service at a fair price. |
We are your neighbors, and depend on our reputations in the community. Not only will we provide you with the best solutions for your landscaping projects, we also pitch in whenever there's a community need that can utilize our services. We also sponsor a Scholarship Program that helps deserving students pursue a career in our industry. In
order to help our members maintain the highest level of current knowledge
and professionalism, we hold monthly dinner meetings with educational
speakers; sponsor a special three-day "Short Course" the first
of each year,
providing our members with up-to-date horticultural information on both
basic and technical subjects; and sponsor a Certification Study Program
to help our members prepare for the Virginia Certified Professional exams. The CVNLA supports funding of horticultural research and provides information to home owners at events such as the Maymont Flower & Garden Show, (where our exhibits have won ribbons for its quality and educational message!) the Virginia State Fair, the Virginia Green Industry Council's Virginia Garden Festival, and Earth Day. Remember that a "bargain" tree that turns brown two months after planting isn't a bargain, no matter how little it cost! So when it's time for that creative solution for your home or business landscape - that maximizes your landscape dollars - refer to our Member Business Directory to locate a professional that will help you develop a personal and unique solution one that is designed for your lifestyle, your budget, and your light and soil conditions. |
